I was very disappointed with this place. Considering all the hype I was sure this was the spot, it was not. Not only was the food (literally over an hour) late it was cold. Were they just holding the food there?? Also, the drinks and the wine, not impressive. Last the music, some fake dj put on a cd and watched it skip for 2 hours, trying to fix the skip. Great DJ. I would never spend or waste my money in this wanna be hamptons place. Nice try but I think you are out of your league. Dont waste your time here.
This past weekend, a few friends and I went to Georgica for dinner to celebrate a friend's birthday. After figuring out we all had different menus and getting the correct ones, we decided on splitting a bunch of appetizers as there looked to be many good ones. We started with a pizza that tasted like they used Prego as the sauce, we had truffle raviolis which were bland and boring. The lobster macaroni and cheese was also just as boring and basically congealed immediately after it got to the table. The only bright spot was the scallop, mostly because how can you really screw up bacon...afterwards we stayed for some drinks and one of the inattentive waitresses spilled/broker 4 champagne glasses over my friend's head and all over her dress (it was her birthday). After no one even brought us a napkin, we asked for management who proceeded to tell my friend he would lick the champagne off of her and suggested performing other unmentionable sexual favors. After this disturbing and unsettling incident, all we wanted to do was leave, however, the bartenders ignored us as we tried to close out our credit card. The same loser manager, Antonio Fuccio ended up near me and after telling him how inappropriate he was and how horrible our experience was, he insulted us even more by calling us horrible names, also unmentionable. It is unbelievable this place is still around after treating customers with such disrespect.
I went to Georgica this past Friday night, and unlike other reviews, I thought the restaurant was incredible. The food was delicious—on time—and the staff was extremely attentive. I actually thought the white truffle lobster macaroni and cheese side dish was one of my favorite things on the menu. I would also recommend the macadamia crusted Chilean sea bass as it was cooked to perfection. As the meal came to a close, we saw Bon Jovi and were all able to take a picture with him. I plan to come back next week after polo.
This past weekend, went to Georgica for dinner to celebrate my daughter's 30th birthday. It is such a shame that the service was horrible, since we all enjoyed most of the food. This restaurant will never survive unless the service improves! I spoke with one of the co owners during dinner. He obviously has not run a restaurant before. He should have picked up the water pitcher, removed dishes, helped out where needed. The restaurant doesn't need a pretty face walking around. I'll give it one more try when I return to the Hamptons in the fall, just because I like the chef and his cooking style.
