The Gilbert Scott

Editorial Review

Michelin man Marcus Wareing takes his magic to the newly-restored St Pancras Renaissance, where he demolishes the once widely-held view that English cuisine is bland and uninspiring. Menu is a tribute to historic dishes, which are brought into the 21st century through Wareing's culinary magic. Try the Queen Anne's artichoke tart - served on a delicate puff pastry - or the jugged steak, with pork dumplings. The "1873" house cocktail makes the best of gin, apple, rhubarb, and cranberry.
