The Golden Age is over we're afraid, with hardly a hard-working caballero in sight through the cloud of up-and-coming rockers and gentrifiers dressed like special ed students. Where will they go next to flirt with small wages, one wonders? Loud ranchera and cumbia tunes, strong drinks, mountains of free peanuts, popcorn, sometimes tacos, and constant cantilevered-breasted waitresses. Still a great time, if you can handle the guilt of ruining Echo Park for los locales.
