Keeping it casual, a large communal table and menu chalkboard dominate the dining room in Chef Andre Christopher's (Pops for Champagne, Japonais, one sixtyblue) new American bistro. After handpicking the ingredients himself, Christopher has created a spring menu that includes roasted chili crusted lamb chops, garlic risotto with artichoke and tagliatelle pasta with calamari and clams. The hot and cold shared plates like the "Japanese style" Rockefeller oysters and steak tartare are dishes you might not want to share. This place isn't going to be BYOB forever, so call ahead to see if they got one of those pesky liquor licenses.
