Inspired by the old Groucho Marx joke – ‘I don’t want to join a club that would have me as a member’ – this dark and decadent Soho drinking den is a favourite of the film, TV, music and publishing crowd. With a strict members-only policy, it’s certainly exclusive, but if you do manage to get in – by dating a YBA, perhaps? – you can enjoy the excellent food and wine alongside the likes of Damien Hirst and the Gallagher brothers.
