Don't let the name fool you. Local Montauk fishermen and farmers are the inspiration here, says chef Robbin Haas, who landed at Gulf Coast in 2010 after opening a string of restaurants in South Florida and Antigua). In addition to full dinner, menu selections will be served all day at more casual, open-air Hurricane Alley adjacent. Haas promises "simple, quality ingredients at every turn, even at the bar," (which bodes well for people popping into one of the three bars on premises); tropical style pairs nicely with laid-back vibe.
