BlackBook Lowdown

There's a stretch of Highland Avenue where the "nobody walks in L.A." trope is easily put to rest. On a summer evening, packed with bodies hoofing it up to the Hollywood Bowl, the city's beloved concert venue. Sometimes those bodies need substenance. And that's key to the Hideout's (yet to be seen) success. Americana bar food and cocktails: nothing special, but just what the concert-going, touristy doctor ordered.

The Hideout on Highland

Posted by hotbabe on Thursday, July 02, 2009

I have to tell you, it is so nice to finally find this place. I had heard about it when it first opened. Now that I do much more walking to the Hollywood Bowl, this place is just want the doctor ordered. For the most part the staff is fantasic. Most of them smile alot and really make you feel comfortable. There is this HOT bartender (Dave) who is not only cute, but he really has a brain and can carry on an intelligent conversation. When you're in the area, you have to stop in. Drinks are made the right way, no skimping on the shots.
