Chatty (re: friendly) patrons and bartenders. Even if you come to this neighborhood hub alone, chances are you won't stay that way. Walk on in, and stumble on out. Great scotch selection, nude paintings on walls, and a fireplace. Mondays are one dollar Blue Ribbon night, so expect a packed house. The Homestead's charm extends all the way down to its policy on dogs: they're allowed. It's just that kind of place.
