BlackBook Lowdown

The Joint closed for rennovation on February 9. Once the $60 million rehaul is completed, the "new" Joint will open on April 17 with a gig by hometown heroes the Killers.

Famed rock venue is short on design, but offers excellent sightlines and few obstacles to a good-sized crowd. Acts have included comedians such as Sarah Silverman and bands ranging from the Roots and Green Day to Aerosmith and Duran Duran.
