The Langham

Editorial Review

This enormous hotel (almost 400 rooms, suites and cottages on 23 acres) has never not been expensive and exclusive. They've got a TV chef now (Michael Voltaggio); the one nod to populism? The grounds are scattered with tables and chairs for impromptu luxuriating, the spa is world-class. There's nothing modern about the places, but the rooms, be-curtained as they are, are nothing other than lovely.
