The Midtown Hotel

Editorial Review

The Midtown area of Boston doesn't have the same cache as New York's, partly because we've lived here for eons and never even heard of it until five minutes ago. This no-frills, by-the-book hotel mostly fits the general Midtown-y description, though unlike Gotham's Midtown, it won't cost you a month's salary to stay here for two nights. In fact it's a relative steal. Perhaps that's because, unlike a lot of newer hotels, they didn't spend a billion dollars turning it into a design fetishist and spaceship enthusiast's fantasy. Centrally located to the Back Bay, you can walk your ass off to the nearby shopping and entertainment centers and put the money you saved by staying here to good use.
