The 23 tiny apartments at inside the Brigham Gardens (now called South Beach Villas) remain a little cloistered world of civility. Most of the rooms face an inner courtyard, a pleasant garden with nodding cats and such. By some miracle, it remains quiet at all hours. The place to escape the maddening fray.
