The New York Palace

Editorial Review

Exquisite palatial digs owned by the Sultan of Brunei himself, with all the overwrought gaudiness you'd expect. Front building built in 1882, back tower in 1981, but everything is fully up to date. Caligula-esque quality to the décor, mind-numbingly ornate. Try not to get lured to the Sultan's real palace overseas for quality time in his notorious, bumping "discotheque."
