Editorial Review

Because food is politics in this town. Big shots duel amicably; have their hearty disagreements with a side of foie gras ravioli.  Plush red chairs lean a little Republican, though definitely not fiscally conservative.  New American menu reaches out to most of the fifty states, but just like California, Texas, and New York—fish, chicken, and steak are over-represented. Condoleezza Rice digs this place, wears outfits to match the blasé art. The oval’s up on the ceiling.
