Back in the day, hot bands would play under the cool-blue lights. Early-adopters would pack one-hitters, while pop bounced off the hardwood floors. Meanwhile, smokers would be entertained by the bass-slapping dude out front who wore Mardi Gras-themed sunglasses. Nowadays, the bassman is gone. So is the booker who booked the hot bands. But this upstairs venue is still one of the places to catch a show. That's if you can find one you like.
