The Parlour at Fortnum's

Editorial Review

This '50s ice cream parlour is on the first floor of Fortnum & Mason, Buckingham Palace's preferred food department store, founded light years ago. Try a Knickerbocker Glory, with vinegar, strawberry, chunks of pineapple, raspberry, and organic milk ice cream. Watch the lively spectacle; it's not a sombre gastronomic temple. Posh ice cream + posh shopping = crème de la cream.
