The Piper Street Inn

Editorial Review

So, you don’t have an eccentric Aunt who owns a restored Victorian house in Sonoma? No worries! The Piper Street Inn is just that, but without the cats and the meddling. For the traveler who doesn’t want to feel like he is traveling, each of the two rooms open to the semi-private garden, complete with a fountain in which you are encouraged to read a book or have a glass of wine. The shared spaces, a parlor with a wood-burning stove and a kitchen complete with a novel 1930s Wedgewood stove, are comfortably homey and bohemian. The complimentary breakfast is served off-site at a coffee shop in downtown Healdsburg (walking distance, FYI), saving you from awkward, forced-cheerful conversations with strangers first thing in the morning.
