Proof that Miami invented the hotel bar. The Raleigh's example of the genre is quiet, charming, and in mint 1940s condition with mahogany bar, martini-shaped mosaic floor, and side tables for card games and late-night eats. Ask the bartender to pour your martini into a plastic cup, then chill to sexy music around the pineapple-shaped pool, or drift among cabanas and tables that extend all the way to the surf. In the off season and on weeknights, you'll have the scene mostly to yourself.
