With a split-level capacity close to 1000, a stage as wide as the Commodore and high enough ceilings to allow performances on both stilts and swings, this former kung-fu movie theatre-turned-event space is devoted to returning a wide variety of community-involved, all-ages entertainment to a corner that fun forgot. Weekends, their bread and butter--punk, metal and indie shows--brings out the boardies, especially given the Rickshaw's connection to the funky-but-defunct Sweatshop, and its store, ramp and gigspace nearby.
