Slightly divey spot has a kooky countryside manor exterior and cluttered-but-comfortable insides with an outstanding beer selection. British, Irish, Belgian, German beers all vie for space on the tap, including fantastic local brews from the Palo Alto Brewing Co. English food is unfairly maligned and tends to get the butt end of the stick when compared to French, Spanish or even German cuisine. No more we say! The crispy and delicious fish ‘n chips at this classic British pub are fried in Guinness beer batter, and a huge, juicy cheeseburger is topped with strong Stilton. Rowdy ex-pats gather for Premier League matches on weekend mornings.
