This smoky barbecue depot is about a 30-minute ride of town. On the way there you can admire classic Hill Country terrain. All-you-can-eat meat laced with trademark sweet honey sauce awaits. Inside is a mess hall. The fire pit that greets you there always makes your eyes bigger than your stomach. Outside is a beer garden. Because it's BYOB you drink more than normal. Bring the football team, the family, or a date.
