Fear not, devotees of the Chaise Lounge crab cake; The Southern has the same owner, the same chef (Cary Taylor), and some holdovers from the deep Chaise Lounge menu. Taylor wants to draw on his Georgian upbringing, and that means green tomatoes, poutine, shrimp 'n grits and the occasional black-eyed pea. The interior was handled by the people who decked out 44th Ward Dinner Party and Bar DeVille, so if you're hoping for a Dixie flag or a salute to the General Lee, you're going to have look elsewheres.
