Lounge under Coffee Shop can't recall a time when we didn't prefer to party in basements. Relaunched under guidance of Michael Gogel, sports no dress code and no tiresome velvet rope routine at 16th Street door. Textured walls and scuffed wood floors frame pretty people nodding along with rock and electronic soundtrack. Eschews the iPod for the alacrity of DJs. French connections put slight Euro tinge on Union Square scene.
