Pay no mind to the blighted wall out front; it throws off the tourists. Instead, follow the maitre'd past heavy velvet tapestries into a dark, intimate, multi-room lounge that looks like an updated, understated European salon. Imagine Poe telling stories by candlelight as the expert bartenders craft Violet Hour's deservedly gushed-about herb-infused cocktails, then close your eyes and enjoy this good night.
