Allure of the Thomas Bond House is proximity to historic Philly for surprisingly reasonable prices. Period furniture and a vibe straight out of eighteensomething (or is it nineteen?), but modern conveniences (a bar, restaurant, gym, room service, etc) are lost in the time warp. Still, comp continental breakfast, wine and cheese in the evenings bring better bang to buck, and rooms full of antiques worth exploring give it slight character edge over average B&B’s. Again, consider the price point: no rooms over $200 with some below $125.
