Once upon a time there existed the Armadillo and Threadgill's. Singer-songwriters came out of one scene. Cosmic cowboys the other. The Live Music Capital of the World was born of both. One day the Armadillo's owner had to close his place to save his buddy's. The latter's legacy was added to with this subsequent location, an outdoor live-music venue where the Armadillo used to be located. The psychedelic ephemera documenting this dizzying history is worth the trip.
