Sitting a stone's throw from the Chateau de Versailles (which means 30 minutes outside of Paris), this five-star hotel is surrounded by 3 acres of landscaped perfection, courtesy of designer Louis Benech. There's plenty to do out here in the boonies; in addition to wandering around the pleasure palace of Louis XIV, the Trianon has a Guerlain spa with hammam, steam rooms and a heated indoor pool. There's also the tennis court and on-site Gordon Ramsay (in name only) restaurant. Most non-suite rooms run between 200-300€, but internet deals put these as low as 169€. Swank suites overlooking the hotel's private three-acre garden can run +750€.
