Donald Trump and Las Vegas were, in many ways, meant for each other, so it's no surprise that the Donald opened his own Vegas property in 2008—in a tower whose windows are (obnoxiously?) glazed with 24-karat gold. Trump is done in a luxurious, over-the-top art deco style that gives on the vague feeling of being on a dry-docked cruise ship. Trump refreshingly has no casino, though if you must get rid of your extra cash, you could dump it into the adjacent Fashion Show Mall, or the high-limit tables at Wynn (almost right across the street). There is also the Spa at Trump, where the signature service is massages with gemstone-infused oils. On-site dining is available at the casual, poolside H2(Eau) and the more elegant DJT, as well as in-suite service. The rooms are modern-styled but luxuriously appointed, featuring immense marble bathrooms with flatscreen TVs implanted in the gilt-framed mirrors. Some suites have full kitchens, which you can arrange to have stocked for your arrival; the Trump will also provide in-room computers and faxes, even personalized stationary if you request it. While the Trump is very close to Las Vegas Boulevard, lazier visitors might want to cab it--the walk through the mall to get to the Strip itself can be long indeed.
