The historic Spanish/Moroccan themed Figueroa Hotel alone is worth a visit. It is one of Downtown's most stunning architectural sites. Veranda bar is not as cool as we'd like it to be, but it's near the pool and getting more popular as the center starts to boom and the authentic culture of L.A. gets more recognition. Local business owners commune with resident winos, chic punks, and globetrotters searching for an escape hatch. For reflection, not copulation.
