Beautiful Moorish mansion-style building houses 50 rooms and suites and two large villas. Jungle roads and some of the island's best reef exploration is right on hand. We make it rain in the penthouse with its incredible position over the sea, but throw a little salt in our game by renting a moped. Still, we feel at home, getting loose in the indulgent digs and going for frequent steams, massages, and baths in our room to get the liquor smell out of our souls. We're staying beachfront and whipping two miles in town for company aand supplies. Guests are low-key and want privacy but the pool is courtyard-set and popular, kind of like Cozumel's Cipriani. Nemo restaurant does an elegant job with seafood, despite needing a rename.
