Whimsical, trendy design is rather Palermo and very Barcelona. Rooms are airy, service is tight, and there's even a cool little art gallery in the back that gives way to a leafy, lazy, quiet garden for your afternoon beer. Design porn at its most Catalan, down to the glossy colorful squares of the modernized Mondrian-esque facade. On a quiet stretch of Palermo Hollywood but just a few blocks from the middle of the madness, a winning combo. True story: a very chic monkey jumped onto our friend's lap while she was having breakfast on the sunny terrace. Apparently it had escaped from someone's house, but we think the hotel should adopt it and have it on hand to entertain guests. Just a suggestion. Otherwise an excellent spot.
