Happily, while you’re still out swindling booze, the good, decent people at Wasatch Bagels are up already making your breakfast. Or lunch, depending on the night. Basic, steely, clear-eyed attention to simplicity: perfect in form and doughy function. Bells and whistles have no place on these ‘els. Ditto for the digs—metal café, newspaper city. The draw is bagels so good self-respecting Jews can take some home to our Saftas. Cream cheese fresh from the cream cow, toppings grown within what tastes like walking distance. Popular with the kind of bright-n-early crowd that knows early birds catch the warmest super cinnamon bagels.
