In a town that does evenings so well, it’s easy to forget about those other times of day...um...sleepy and cranky/dopey and hungry…morning and afternoon! Happily, while you’re still out swindling booze, the good, decent people at Wasatch Bagels are up already making your breakfast. Or lunch, depending on the night. Basic, steely, clear-eyed attention to simplicity: perfect in form and doughy function. Bells and whistles have no place on these ‘els. Ditto for the digs—metal café, newspaper city. The draw is bagels so good self-respecting Jews can take some home to our Saftas. Cream cheese fresh from the cream cow, toppings grown within what tastes like walking distance. Popular with the kind of bright-n-early crowd that knows early birds catch the warmest super cinnamon bagels.
