Tucked under the Brown Line L, Waterhouse provides an ideal post-downtown-workday escape. In a long room with exposed brick, mood lighting and simple chandeliers, stylish bartenders serve pitchers of down-the-hatch favorites like sangria and rum punch. The bar food is quality. The evenly mixed male/female crowd tends toward the young and professional but isn't obnoxious. Open patio doors in the summertime lures passing Gen-X and Y commuters to pale ale refreshment and casual conversation.
