San Francisco » Restaurant » Financial District » Bistro
Food Network favorite Tyler Florence took a break from his various shows to open up this mature, heady spot that might signal of signs of new culinary life in the Financial District. Occupying what was once Rubicon, the tri-level space has a weighty feel, emphasizing brick, steel, wood and leather. A power lunch favorite for banking types, we’ve spotted a younger crowd at night, sipping Manhattans in the upstairs billiards room. American classics are all good, including a notably great burger. Or can’t go wrong with oysters and cracked crab from the raw bar. Peach pie finishes it off. Tyler checks plates himself many nights.
