West End Bistro

Editorial Review

Latest grazing spot for nationwide Eric Ripert personality cult. Design is David Lynch in his red period. Homegrown attitude is local and organic, kind of like the kitchen. Washington money still argues the bistro's bona fides but keeps coming back to this Ritz Carlton restaurant for a really great lunch. Sensible seafood speaks American English but Ivy League alum stick with safety schools of beef, lamb, or chicken. Appetizers are far more adventurous, the cool lives at the bar. Beige.
