Faded turquoise walls, scratched laminate counter-tops and old-fashioned fountain drinks. The place where time stopped--in 1932. This is the Montreal of days gone by. Only nine swivel stools at the counter means a lot of leaning and no lingering. The 'special' is a grilled bologna and salami sandwiched on a mustard smeared onion bun. Don't like mustard? Or want your sandwich cut in half? Too bad. At least you get to choose between a hand-pulled cherry coke or a cream soda. And no tipping allowed!
