A block from the Quarter, this upscale hotel, which recently emerged from a top-to-bottom, $22 million renovation, packs enough class between its walls that you might forget you're in New Orleans. The tastefully decorated suites are big enough to get lost in - a rarity in Nola - while the immense lobby is big enough for you to lose John Goodman. If you don't feel like paying the for a room, at least get a drink at the hotel's Polo Lounge bar, an elegant yet relaxed watering hole.
