Editorial Review

Giant downtown flagship of the local Southern reconstructionist restaurant chain where breakfast is king and dinner is blackened catfish. Wishbone[EM]which is around the block from Oprah's Harpo Studios[EM]attracts a most diverse clientele with its mixture of comforting, veg-friendly sides (cheese grits, home fries), savory meat (andouille sausage, pork chops) and fish entrees. The wait on a Saturday or Sunday can be tedious but at least you can enjoy the view. The restaurant's surreal/absurdist farm-themed paintings, by the owner's mother, could be modern art masterpieces.
