BlackBook Lowdown

There are few better ways to bend a buck in Bridgehampton than perching at a sidewalk table with a decent bottle of wine and a pie from the wood burning oven while watching the shitshow parade by. With a good view of Bobby Van's across the street (which was actually originally housed here) the umbrella-topped outdoor tables are the best seats in the house. Friendly bartenders keep the vibe inside on an even keel, though it can get packed at nights. In additon to the pizzas (which come in such varieties as duck and clam in addition to the standards) World Pie serves decent New American and bar snacks (graham cracker crusted calamari beats all), but the place did get its name from the rest of the menu, did it? If you needed convincing that the joint does it all, packed jazz brunches are also stellar.
