Editorial Review

Impressive hillside centurion palace where Kyoto goes Hollywood. Attained Genji status with sushi and kaiseki, but its the atmosphere that seduces. Better Japanese exists for less loot, but no tourist-trap sparkles like this gem. Plates are artworks. The budget-conscious come for dessert and a gander. Legendary ghost haunts ladies bathroom. We swear girls, it wasn't us. Astonishing city views and prime star-gazing, with a koi pond to contemplate inner mysteries and pending gratuities.
