It would be easy to describe this hard-to-find Holborn gem as a traditional English pub, but that label only works if your idea of a hostelry on this island is taken from The Canterbury Tales. It’s ancient and atmospheric – a maze of tiny, crooked, oak-panelled rooms around a cobbled courtyard – and serves a fine selection of British beers.
