Looks like the Desires Hotels, which includes such properties as the Sagamore, the Hotel Astor, and The Betsy in South Beach, and the Hotel Mela in New York, is looking for some free marketing advice in their latest contest called "You name it, we claim it." They're opening a new hotel this summer, in the Flatiron area, real close to Madison Square Park (and Shake Shack), and they want you to christen it.

The hotel's target demo is the young, urban professional, and the decor will be modern and ostensibly chic. They've narrowed the field down to five choices: Vivo NYC, Stile NYC, Nyche (niche, get it?), the Mix New York City, and the Mave NYC (Maven?). All of these choices are pretty horrible, and there doesn't seem to be a "write in your own" section, so I guess I'd have to go with Nyche, because it's so bad it could be good. To enter, all you have to do is vote, and you have a chance to win a three-night stay plus airfare at one of the Desires Hotels in Miami, San Juan, New York, or Milwaukee. The second-place prize is an iPod Touch, and third place is a Nano (weak sauce).
