This week, the atrium of Lane Crawford‘s flagship store at the ifc mall in Hong Kong was transformed into a tribute pop-up for legendary luxury footwear designer, Manolo Blahnik. The two renowned brands teamed up to provide visitors with an intimate look into the world of Manolo by curating an enchanting exhibit of the designer’s personal photographs and inspirations, as well as a unique showcase of the house’s archive collections and collaboration items.
Highlights from the installation, which took place February 14 and 15, include the re-release of ten archival Manolo Blahniks from the past four decades, leather gloves in collaboration with Causse Gantier, hand-engraved stationary by New York’s own Connor, Italian silk scarves with printed Manolo shoe sketches by Olmetto, and gourmet hampers by Fortum & Mason, which featured items hand-picked by Mr. Manolo himself. The designer’s personal photographs were also on display and included images taken in the ’70s and ’80s of notables like Katherine Hepburn and Grace Coddington.
