How to Make It in America, HBO's hip, snappy dramedy, could easily be re-titled How to Make It in New York. Given that its two lead characters, best friends Cam and Ben, are hustling to get their clothing label off the ground, the show couldn't really be set anywhere else other than this fashion-happy, hard-scrabble town. He also mentioned a launch party, which—guess what—is happening tonight.

It’s primed to be a busy year for A-Trak. Less than halfway through his current North American tour (which makes a stop at New York’s Terminal 5 on Saturday night), the Montreal-born, New York-based DJ still has a lot to look forward to. Next month, he'll open the first official store for his Fool’s Gold record label in Williamsburg. In the fall he'll drop the debut album from Duck Sauce (his side project with Armand Van Helden, which racked up over 50 million YouTube views for their “Barbara Streisand” video), and, maybe then, he'll find some time to work on that solo album.

A mardi gras' worth of parties are going down in Miami this week for Art Basel, but we can safely say we'll be helping to throw one of the best and biggest. On Saturday night, Grand Central, in all its lofty, warehouse-y glory, will play host to music's most beat-obsessed siblings, the Brothers Macklovitch. You don't want to miss it.
