Sometimes you crave a really crazy ethnic place with spicy, saucy curries and wait staff in cheap red suits with accents you can’t understand. Then other times you want something very specific like the best slice of pizza or the juiciest hamburger in town. Or maybe it’s a special day when you have to impress your boss or your girlfriend or someone visiting from out of town. In none of these scenarios would you go to The Kitchen, a cozy nook in Silver Lake adjacent to homo-hub Akbar but not much else.
