Illamasqua, a cult favorite amongst beauty junkies, club kids, makeup artists, and celebs, was conceived amidst the dark drama of 1920s Berlin -- embraced by alternative cultures, made by a British brand, and now readily available to help you develop your nightlife alter ego. Images from The Gossip frontwoman and recently minted fashion icon Beth Ditto's capsule collection for Brit retailer Evans have finally arrived. And, fortunately, it looks as though Ditto has taken the new venture in stride, nailing her debut designing effort. Not surprisingly, the collection is heavy on sequins and 80s-inspired silhouettes and styles (Ditto has never exactly been one for demure clothing). The line is slated to hit stores on July 9 (both online and in the UK) and will include a corset dress and motorcycle jacket, as well as a handful of mini-dresses in graphic prints, a jersey romper worn oversized that hangs off the shoulder, and a knit dress with polka dots and half of the profile of a woman's face that's sure to be one of the collection's biggest hits.

Leave it to Beth Ditto to don a pair of angel wings and nudge Susan Boyle from her stress sleep. And then as Boyle stirs awake, calling out for her cat Pebbles, Ditto tells her, "No sweetie, we're not in Blackburn anymore." Then she gingerly takes the bonny woman's hand and assists her back out to the world to face the blinding light of paparazzi flashguns and obsessive speculations of bloggers. At least this is what The Gossip frontwoman is hoping to do for the exhausted Britain's Got Talent runner-up by way of recruiting her to form a gospel supergroup.

The plus-size Arkansas native has also been called on by fashion’s finest to provide the entertainment -- she performed at Fendi’s Paris Fashion Week after-party this past week at Karl Lagerfeld’s request. The singer has also inked a deal to design a line of 80s-inspired clothing for Brit brand Evans. So what is it about Ditto that has the fashion set so totally enamored?

Gossip frontwoman Beth Ditto won’t solely be making waves in the fashion world come spring by gracing the cover of Love, the not-yet-released Condé Nast newbie that boasts Pop's Katie Grand at its helm. According to Grazia, the outspoken, infinitely revered singer will dabble in design thanks to a partnership with Brit brand Evans. The line in question, which includes “‘80s-inspired ... oversized T-shirts, studded handbags, colorful graphic dresses with domino prints and oversized knitwear,” is slated to hit stores this July.
