Beyonce, Blue Ivy

The first photos of celebrities’ kids can fetch big bucks from the tabloids.  Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie's twins Knox Leon & Vivienne Marcheline garnered over $11 million, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony’s kids Max & Emme Muñiz were priced at $6 million, and someone was even willing to lay down a whopping $1 million for Britney Spears’ sister’s baby.  It’s not chump change. But instead of cashing in on Blue Ivy's pic, Beyonce and Jay-Z have chosen to release the images themselves on a Tumblr called HelloBlueIvyCarter. The shots are adorable.

Finally, finally: Jay-Z and Kanye West have released a music video for "N----- in Paris," the song they played up to like eleven times in a row on their Watch the Throne tour. It's a live video, too, perfectly capturing the sensation of being bombarded over and over and over by the song's walloping beat. A kaleidoscope effect doubles the 'Ye and Jay we see, as well as the well-dressed fans losing their mind in the crowd. (Warning: if you're sensitive to flashing lights, you may want to pass on this one.)

After becoming a proud poppa, it was easy to believe Jay-Z was ready to renounce the evils of his life -- namely, his affinity for saying "bitch." In a poem that was credited to him by the NME and plenty of other press outlets, he supposedly wrote, "Before I got in the game, made a change, and got rich/I didn’t think hard about using the word bitch/I rapped, I flipped it, I sold it, I lived it/Now with my daughter in this world I curse those that give it." It was a pleasant sentiment, as calling women that is not very nice. But according to his handlers, it's also incorrect.

Did you guys hear? Some lady named Beyonce had a baby in a ultra-lux $800 a night hospital super-suite, forcing out a random non-famous dad who just wanted to take a look at the glory of his newborn child.  There’s been story after story after story about Babyonce Blue Ivy, but here’s one small interesting detail that may have been overlooked: more than just celebrity was at play when it came to taking over Lenox Hill Hospital, Jay-Z may have put down some serious cash.
