The online sample sale for Built By Wendy starts today, and while the quantities are limited, the prices are seriously cheap. To be fair, some of the items have been on the chopping block for a few years now (this baseball jacket is at least two years old), but the sales are upwards of 70-80% off. There’s even a leather bomber marked down from $498 to $85! Granted, it’s white leather with cropped sleeves, but I’ve seen far stranger looks on less attractive women that still grace the pages of The Sartorialist.

I’ve been glancing through the SS09 Built By Wendy look book that just landed in my inbox, and it’s chock-full of very cute, wearable frocks. But while the apron and wrap dresses are of particular note, there was one other item that especially caught my eye: the "Boyfriend Jean." As in loose-fitting stonewashed denim cuffed at the ankle à la Katie Holmes. While the latter may have been hounded on every fashion blog from here to the Himalayas for perpetually getting photographed sporting cuffed Prps boyfriend jeans over the last few months, the look now appears closer than ever to becoming a bona fide trend for fall.
