This spring it’s okay to get your panties in a ruffle—in fact it’s trendy! Well, at least for your outerwear. Spring/Summer 2011 brings us all the fun flirtiness of ruffles and frill. Expect to see lots of tulle, ribbons, and lace. Spotted on runways for Valentino (pictured), Anna Sui, Azzaro, Emilio Pucci, and D&G, feminine ruffles will be all the rage this upcoming year.

As the year draws to a close, many of us are scrambling to find the best possible plans for the last night of 2010. Whether that includes a giant sweaty loft party in Brooklyn or a low-key table for two at your neighborhood dive, I know you’re going to want to look your best. And if you’re like me, that includes sequins. Arguably the only night of the year that sequins are encouraged (if not expected), there are now plenty of options for getting your glitter fix. After the jump, check out our favorite sequined items (such as this Parker sequin dress for $297), and don’t be afraid to wear them all at once. That’s my plan, anyway.

Let me start off by saying that I’m still quite a nobody in the fashion world. Yes, I work as a model, but I don’t identify as just that. I worked my ass off in university and graduated with an honor’s degree in English literature, and decided to take a year (or two) off to model full-time, to travel and make money for grad school and other life investments. This past weekend I flew to LA to shoot with Josh Jordan for Russian Glamour. I booked the job Thursday night, flew out Friday evening, and took the redeye back on Saturday. (I’m still feeling guilty about my carbon footprint.) We shot the entire story at the Chamberlain Hotel in West Hollywood, and since we were quite a big team—about 11 or so—we really usurped the place. Poor guests were driven away from the rooftop pool due to our invasion, and others couldn’t walk through the lobby without profuse apology for interrupting our shoot. They didn’t need to apologize: we were the ones interrupting them!

You know what looks really dope on a dude? A gold, sleeveless turtleneck. Especially when paired with really long hair and big gold bracelets. Or at least designer Rick Owens sure thinks so! His designs weren't the only wackadoo creations strutting down the runways in Milan and Paris this week-- a week dominated by death and apocalyptic imagery. Blood and references to global decay were widespread and remorseless. See for yourself as we round-up the craziest, most unsettling looks from the Milan and Paris.

There are a number of helpful tips outlining how to fix your face the morning after a major drink-a-thon, but what about fixing yourself when you couldn't blush a straight line, much less walk one? The issue in question usually arises whilst one is elbow deep in some after-work margs at Rosa Mexicana, at which point furthering the fun from an after-work activity into an after-dawn affair seems like a very good idea. Not even the heinous sight of your tequila swollen face, still hanging on to the last remnants of the foundation you applied before 8am, and runny mascara, could deter you from meeting boys for even more tequila at Cantina Latina. This drunk makeup dilemma usually occurs during one of these occasions: you've accidentally have one too many vodka red bulls while curling your hair before a night out, you've decided during a round of shots that this after-work cocktail session needs to head to the club, or you've somehow managed to see straight long enough to catch a glimpse of yourself in a shard of mirror clinging to the bathroom wall of some dive in Chinatown. Fear not Beauty Junkie, there's an app(lication) for that.
