You know that mystery chef we mentioned -- the blind recluse opening a 52-hour popup restaurant in Chelsea next month? Well, he doesn't exist. Or rather, he does exist, and his name is legion. That's because he's a culinary amalgam of 13 for-real superchefs, all contributing their talents and grub to 13 individual seatings for Le Grand Fooding NYC 2011. You would be well advised to buy from our special allotment presale tickets, available as of right now. But who exactly makes up the exquisite corpse of the mythical Nikoalan Nselurfueymardcora?

No hotel in Las Vegas is bringing the proverbial heat quite like the Cosmopolitan this summer. Their club Marquee is luring the biggest names in dance music on a near-nightly basis, and they’ve even secured Adele to drop by next month for an intimate gig. But the hotel offers a lot more than pop icons and DJs. Later this month, the Cosmopolitan will host the rock stars of the food world at a new event, the inaugural All-Star Cochon.

I once overheard a guy say, "The only thing Italian in New York is pizza." Either he's regularly hitting bogus Italian joints or he's a culinary philistine. Probably both. Real Italian dishes have hard-to-pronounce names like garganelli al Ragu Bolognese, caccuicio, or bucatini all gricia. If you're a foodie, you know where I'm going with this. These are some of the classic dishes found on the menu at Del Posto, which recently received a four-star review from The New York Times, the first Italian restaurant to be handed the rating since 1974. Executive Chef Mark Ladner - the man largely responsible for the coup - says phones are ringing off the hook. Where it used to take months to get a table, the wait-time at Del Posto will most likely double. Here's Mr. Ladner on life after four stars.

Mario Batali at the opening of Eataly: My favorite places to eat are generally downtown in the Village: Pearl Oyster Bar, Spotted Pig, Grand Sichuan. My favorite thing to eat is anything anyone else makes! Da Silvano has an octopus salad and octopus grill that's really beautiful. ● Mayor Mike Bloomberg at the opening of Eataly: There are 20,000 restaurants in New York City, and I try to eat at every single one of them. ● Alex McCord and Simon van Kempen at GLAAD Summer Rooftop Party: wd-50, and in Brooklyn, Pacifico, the Mexican restaurant on Pacific St.

Stanley Tucci at The Luxury Collection Destination Guide Launch with Assouline: I like to go to a lot of different places, but certainly Mario Batali's restaurants. The beef cheek ravioli at Babbo is so delicious and so incredible. Just about anything he cooks is okay with me. I always stay at the St. Regis, here in New York. ● Rosie Perez: I love Gino's in Bay Ridge. The arroz con gandule at Luz in Brooklyn is a favorite, and the roasted chicken is the best deal in town. Here in the city, Dok Suni's for Korean barbeque, at First Avenue and 7th Street.

At the Date Night premiere: 1. Steve Carell - "Boy! You know what? On the way in, we drove by Shun Lee. My wife and I, when we lived here, we ate there all the time. John's Pizza was one of our favorite pizza places. Any one, but, certainly, the one in the Village, and I think they opened one up off Times Square. That's just always good." 2. Tina Fey - "My favorite restaurant in the world is a restaurant in Chicago, called the Athenaeum Room. Favorite dish? Chicken on french fries." 3. Taraji P. Henson - "The Little Owl. I went there the other night!" 4. Jimmi Simpson - "Providence, on Melrose, in Los Angeles. Any special dish? The five-course tasting menu." 5. Carol Alt - "Actually, I like Pure Food and Wine because it's a raw restaurant. What do you like there? Well, just about everything, but their ice cream is killer! Raw ice cream -- unbelievable, unbelievable. I eat at a lot of Japanese places, so I can have raw fish. I'm a raw foodist, so it, kind of, limits."

1. Richard Gere, at the premiere of Brooklyn's Finest: My favorite restaurant has to be the Bedford Post. 2. Don Cheadle: BOA, in L.A. 3. Ethan Hawke: Manganaro's, on 9th Avenue. 4. Wesley Snipes: That's gotta be home. My wife is an excellent cook! Where do I like to go? Oh, La Dinastia, the Cuban-Chinese restaurant on 72nd, near Broadway. 5. Hoda Kobt: I love 21 Club. I love Tabla. I love Shake Shack, just their burgers. 'Cause the first time I saw a line, I thought, 'Who would wait in a line this long for a burger?' And then I realized, 'I would.' There's something about the size, the texture; they're moist, they're delicious. And I like Kefi -- on Columbus -- the best, best Greek food ever, delicious.

1. Matt Damon, after Green Zone press day: Oh, boy! There are so many great restaurants here. I like Bob De Niro's place, Nobu. That's a good one. 2. Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi @ "Masks and Mayhem" Purim party @ Solo restaurant: Definitely, L.A., Voyeur, that club, I like it. 'Cause I just like low-key stuff because, since I've been in the limelight, when I go to clubs, it's just crazy. It's hard to, actually, party and have a good time, because I usually go out with Pauly and Mike in L.A., and it's just hard to party because everyone's, like, 'Oh!' They go crazy. And we love that, but, yet again, we like to have our low times. So, Voyeur, definitely, a good place to go because there's a lot of celebrities there, so we can actually relate with people.
